Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 2025
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Lucent ("Application") for mobile devices. Our privacy policy may change from time to time. If we make any material changes to our policies, we will place a prominent notice on our website or application. If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policies, feel free to contact us at hello@gregbell.dev.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number. When you use the app, an anonymous account is created using only a randomly generated UUID (a unique identifier). Your budget data, categories, transactions, and savings goals are stored in the cloud to enable syncing across your devices and household sharing features.
How do you handle location data?
The Application does not use or collect any data related to your geographic location.
Can users see their personal data?
Yes. All data you enter is visible within the app. You can also export your transactions to CSV format at any time.
Can users delete their data?
Yes. You can delete individual budgets, transactions, and goals within the app. You can also delete your entire account and all associated data through the app settings.
Do you share personal information?
We do not sell, trade, or share your information with third parties. If you use the household sharing feature, your budget data is shared only with the household members you invite.
Do advertising companies collect data?
No. The Application does not contain any advertising and no data is shared with advertising companies.
Do you use vendors or analytics providers?
The Application uses Supabase for cloud storage and syncing. When you use multi-currency features, exchange rates are fetched from ExchangeRate-API (no personal data is sent, only currency codes). No analytics or tracking services are used.
Do you comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)?
Yes. We do not solicit nor gather any data from children under the age of 13.
